One of the tricky things about living on a small island is finding a way to support yourself. Most of us have learned to wear several 'hats' in our efforts to sustain ourselves in Paradise. Here are some examples of the creative efforts Hornby Islanders have made to maintain their way of life.

We feature classic old roses, especially rambling and climbing roses, as we find these the most vigorous and disease free (and fragrant). We propagate and grow roses on their own roots, mostly from our own mother plant collection.

ISLAND POTTERS

Island Potters, located at the Ringside Market, offers a unique and diverse selection of pottery and paintings by local artists and those of adjacent islands. Representing twenty plus potters, the work ranges from functional production ware to one of a kind pieces. Please visit our shop on-line or drop in for a visit when you're on Hornby.
